I play on a mid level beer league team and finally decided to upgrade from my old Bauer HH5000. I've tried on a few different helmets over the past year or so and figured I'd give this helmet a try. The minute I put on the helmet I noticed not only how light it was but also how snug and comfortable it was on my head. The adjustment point in the rear of the helmet was also much better for me than the typical Bauer adjustment I was used to. Bottom line, I've never worn a helmet as comfortable as this and I am sure it will protect my head better than my old helmet. I paired it with a Bauer 7500 cage that works great.Review by bolts92 (Posted on 7/24/2016)
This helmet was suppose to be the equivalent of the M11 from the Cascade sports/Messier project since Bauer bought out that branch of Cascade. After receiving and trying out this helmet, it feels like I downgraded from the M11; it doesn't feel as comfortable, feels slightly cheaper, but costs more than the M11 Pro! There has to be better helmets out there for this price. This is a sellout at its best.Review by Mark (Posted on 7/24/2016)
This is the old Cascade Pro helmet with Bauer's addition of their excellent "Poron" padding for the forehead area. I was very impressed by Cascade's upgraded Messier Pro helmet version of the M-11, but by adding Bauer"s newest innovative "Poron" padding Bauer has probably made this one of the most protective helmets on the market. The concept of the Seven Cluster protection is very sound and makes sense, distributing the force of impact throughout the helmet opposed to one specific area. In my opinion they should further research this technology and improve on it to make helmets even safer and take a lead role in concussion prevention in hockey. This is a great looking, highly protective, well ventilated, extremely comfortable hockey helmet that is easy to adjust. It fits almost every cage/shield available on the market and is extremely durable. I highly recommend it.Review by duch (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Purchased this helmet for my 14 year old son. It is a horrible helmet. The padding never dries, even when aired for several days, and it peeled off from the inner padding after 3 uses. The fit is horrible, too - my son has cut his chin badly and his nose twice on two separate occasions because the helmet will easily come up over the chin and down into the bridge of the nose. (He had all of the straps tightened properly.) There is only one adjustment to the helmet - the one that makes it tight around the circumference of the head. There is no front to back adjustment and I think that is the issue.Review by HOCKEYMOM77 (Posted on 7/24/2016)
This helmet is absolutely amazing. I have nothing but good to say about it. No more headaches!Review by The Other Guy (Posted on 7/24/2016)
It is fully adjustable and gives that custom-fit level of comfort. It is sturdy, lightweight, and breathes well. I got the black on black, which looks great. There is no downside.
I have no intention of attacking any other reviewers, but if this helmet isn't meeting your needs, you're likely doing something wrong.
The Helmet is covered against defects in manufacturing and workmanship for a period of 365 days from the date of purchase.
