Are you lanky? Ever been called lanky? These pants in Tall are the pants for you. I'm 6'3" 225 (36" waist) but most people think I weigh less and I have long legs. (34" inseam) Never wore Talls before but I am hooked. I wear these off my waist or so now, not my hips like I did in a traditional pants. Pants are decent weight with good motion and protection. Highly recommend for people with longer legs.Review by G Unit 13 (Posted on 12/12/2016)
great protection throughout pants tail bone protects from cross checks no better pants on market great movement and well madeReview by cambs (Posted on 12/5/2016)
These are great hockey pants, and in my option the best pants on the market. They fit very well, are extremely protective and are comfortable. If you're looking for a strong protective top of the line hockey pant, the Bauer nexus 1000 pant is the way to go.Review by Big Hen (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Bought these for my 8 year old after he fell backwards in his youth pants and landed on the suspender button. Hurt him pretty bad. After putting these pants on he was beaming. "Dad, these are awesome!" I bought them for the back side protection, where kids can get their feet taken out from under at any time. Keeps him protected and his head in the game.Review by hockey dad (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I had these pants for about 3 months they are so comfortable and versatile. Defenitly worth the money. Great for big travel games!!!!!!Review by Alexis the SNIPER (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Before making my decision, I went to the store and tried on all the top of the line from all companies.Review by Vince88 (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I have to say that it did not take much to convince me.
As soon as I slipped them on, they were perfect.
My last pair was a pro stock return from the Ottawa Senators. They had amazing protection, but they were so bulky that I looked like I stole them from my goalie. It was time to switch.
Protection: Probably the best protection out there.
Fit: Not bulky whatsoever. They are a bit longer than usual pants and that's great. They're snug on your legs without compromising stride movement. If you want that extra room, then unzip the legs and you're set.
Style: To me at least, the best looking pants out there.
Shells: I bought them in black and got a black shell, red and blue one as well. I honestly don't intend on changing them. I'll just wear the shells over them when need be and the black one is if/when they get ripped from a skate or something (great investment in my opinion).
I bought these pants about 8 months ago, when I decided that I wanted to get a longer pant with more hip and lower back protection. Since the purchase, I've played nearly 80 (various) games of pick-up and men's league and here are my overall thoughts:Review by Semisober (Posted on 7/24/2016)
'Out of box', just trying them on, the initial fit was nice. I liked the seeming mobility of the traditional fit. They seemed slightly stiff, as most pants do at first, but nothing unbearable.
'On the ice' the overall feel was really good. It was obvious right away that there would be some break-in time to get the pants into the comfortable/worn zone. The hip and lower back padding were stellar. The thigh and tailbone are also very well protected.
After 8 months of skates and games, the pants are still in very good shape. There are no tears on the outside and the padding is all still in very good shape. I've taken tons of falls, errant collisions and pucks to various parts of the pants and they have been stellar in every situation.
In short, if you are thinking of buying these pants, I would recommend trying them on first, to make sure you like the traditional fit, but you wouldn't go terribly wrong ordering them either.
These pants have great protection and are very comfortable. They only get four stars because the fabrics frayed and tore at the seam near the hip flexer. I like how the older pants like the x:60s had a stretchy material in that area so they didn't rip.Review by Rick B (Posted on 7/24/2016)
great pantsReview by Astern51 (Posted on 7/24/2016)
light and great protection
I have had these breezers for about one and a half years. They have worn well with only superficial tears and damage. When I bought them I tried on a lot of different brands and models within Bauer, Reebok/CCM, Graf, etc and these fit me the best. Its nice to have options for different needs and body types.Review by Duck (Posted on 7/24/2016)
These are a great all around higher end breezer. Great mobility and lighter weight. Roomy but not bulky and good protection. The lace up and belt secure well. Also dig the leg zippers as I have a low stride.
I don't particularly like the abdomen guard as it gets in the way and sticks out. It is just thin foam. It would be nice to have some more rigidity in it for more protection.
