The NEXUS series of sticks is the family in the Bauer stick line-up with a Tru-mid flex profile. If you are a player that is looking for a well-balanced stick with a quick, effortless release with natural power, you should give these a serious look.
The Nexus 8000 is a true one-piece stick which means that through the single molding process, which Bauer refers to as their Monocomp Technology, they can remove excess material all while improving balance and ensuring performance consistency. This is the main reason why this stick is as light as it is. Bauer also uses its exclusive TeXtreme® technology, which is a strong carbon fiber that is 20% lighter than conventional carbon. The eLASTech resin system (reinforcements in the resin that help reduce the spread of micro-fractures) can be found in the senior and intermediate models and helps extend the life of the sticks "pop" while enhancing the overall durability of the stick. The square shaft shape with double-concave walls is preferred among pros, and provides a nice secure grip no matter what shot you are taking. The Nexus 8000 is available in a nice matte finish or with the Griptac finish.
Moving further down the stick, you will find the Nexus Power Taper. Sometimes referred to as the .520 power taper, this means a little more thickness in the hosel of the taper to boost torsional stiffness in order to allow you to maximize the load. Bauer's expanded throat of the Pure Shot Blade Profile also means less torquing and twisting, thus improving accuracy and blade control.
The blade of the Nexus 8000 stick features the Power Sense Core. This energy absorbent core maximizes power and feel for the puck. There is also a lightweight Aero Foam 3 component in the heel that improves balance and core stability. Bauer's SENSE technology is yet another component of the blade core which improves durability, control and shot acceleration. The blade wrap features the same TeXtreme® technology that is used in the shaft and is finished with a light texture to the outer coating. If you are someone who only tapes a portion of the blade, that texture is going to provide an extra bite on the puck.
Natural feel, enhanced durability, and lightweight are what you'll get in this high performance Tru-mid flex Nexus 8000 stick.

The nexus 8000 stick is great! Very accurate hard shot and you can dangle great with it! I dont know if its durable yet but very nice and not to much of a flashy stickReview by Nick (Posted on 7/24/2016)
When I first unwrapped the stick my ankles broke. The sexiness of my new twig was amazing. It's great for opening doors and cellyin when another teammate scores. One time I even stole the pick from the bag and sniped the empty net the a record 1.2 mile an hour clappy wappy . And when I finally touch the ice in a game I'm sure to score with this incredible twig.Review by Tyler the ankles roth (Posted on 7/24/2016)
This stick is exactly the same as the nexus 1000, i had a nexus 1000 then switched to the 8000 and experienced inaccuracy, i researched a little only to find out that bauer had tweaked the flex. This was putting my shot off.Review by Bish the Sniper (Posted on 7/24/2016)
If you had a 1000 give it a go, if ya dont like it and experience inaccurate shots like i did, hunt down a 1000 (if you can) or try out an apx(forward) mx3(defense)
This stick made me dangle! The 1st game I played with it I scored a goal and had a sick assist! This thing is exactly like the 1n has the exact same kick point and shoots like crazy.Review by future Stanley cup champ (Posted on 7/24/2016)
