The CCM RBZ 70 JUNIOR skate was created for the player that puts a high value on comfort and support, but still has a need for speed and wants to maximize explosiveness and reaction speed. In addition, this skate has EASY TIE features that are designed to help out younger players.
It has a generous anatomical fit profile with a standard heel. Unlike the higher end RBZ skates, the RBZ 70 JUNIOR has a bit more of a traditional fit and follows the typical "1.5 sizes smaller than shoe size" rule of thumb. Skate fit, however, is ultimately a matter of personal preference. The EASY TIE system is a set of features that enable the younger players to be more independent when it comes to tying their skates. The red grip laces and the smaller top eyelets help keep the laces secure, while the flexible facing helps with performance by enabling younger/lighter players to flex the skate the way it was intended. These EASY TIE features can be found on the RBZ 70 JUNIOR model, with an expanded junior size offering up to size 7.
The outer shell of the RBZ 70 JUNIOR uses a sublimated tech mesh with a compound blend inner core. These two elements in conjunction with a relatively stiff inner layer, creates a sandwich-like construction that offers a good amount of lateral support. Heel lock is enhanced through the use of 6mm EVA foam, which is both comfortable and accommodating.
The tongue is made of a combination of white felt with a PU (polyurethane) layer for added lace bite protection. The RBZ 70 JUNIOR has a ventilated injected outsole, just like the senior model, but instead of the SpeedBlade + 4.0 holder, it features the E-Pro holder with E-Pro Proformance™ Lite Scalloped Stainless Steel instead.
EASY TIE features, comfort and support summarize the qualities of the RBZ 70 JUNIOR skates from CCM, not to mention that they are also one of the lightest skates in their class. Check these out!
