The Tacks name is legendary among hockey skates. Boasting a rich history dating all the way back to 1905, we knew any new boot to bear the “Tackaberry” name would have a lot to live up to. Let us be the first to say, the CCM Tacks 2052 provides an ideal, entry level package for recreational skaters or players just finding their edges.
An injected, inner core with a sublimated outer make up the quarter package of the Tacks 2052 boot; making them comfortable and forgiving right out of the box.
The new SpeedBlade Pro holder provides the same advantages as the higher end Speedblade 4.0 but with a non-replaceable CCM Stainless runner. The holders are then riveted to a TPR outsole providing an ice ready package.
CCM’s commitments to fit and comfort are easy to see in the new Tacks 2052 skate. The Contoured Fit profile provides a close fit in the heel and ankle with a medium width throughout the boot. A Brushed Nylon lines the entirety of the boot, ensuring a comfortable fit along with great durability. Add a 5mm High Density Felt Tongue and you have a boot that provides lightweight performance with superior fit and comfort.
If you’re a recreational skater looking for out of the box comfort, pick up the CCM Tacks 2052 today and go on the attack!

Ironically not worth the savings. It's more expensive to buy cheap skates like this with a fixed runners that get loose and break easily. And then you'll have to replace the whole thing. Just save up a little more and buy higher quality skates with replaceable runners.Review by Poppy (Posted on 3/22/2017)
i was in aware that the blades were not replaceable bad idea. Wore them to referee a peewee game a puck hit the blade off the face off to start the game and the steel runner broke. Back in my Graf. The boot was very comfortable but the overall skate not very solid. These would be a wonderful pleasure skate, due to the comfort and skating angle glade they were on sale.Review by Rodger (Posted on 3/4/2017)
I play pickup hockey and these skates are great. I bought these skate at Play it Again Sports in Aurora, CO and had them heat molded to my feet. They molded good and are very very comfortable... They also look nice and skate well... The price is not bad for the quality of the skate.Review by NOTwaynegretzky (Posted on 1/9/2017)
I bought these skates, so I can teach my little guy how to skate. Nice looking and not too flashy. Comfortable and have a good turning radius.Review by Cody (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I have been wearing these skates for about 2 weeks and during my game the steel in the the blade snappedReview by DG41 (Posted on 7/24/2016)
This skate is not the bargain the price or the reviews lead you think it is. Unfortunately, the fixed blade is not stable at all. After just a few uses, 4 practices and 3 games, the blades are coming loose, creaking when pressure is applied to them and causing huge stability issues. With a little effort, one can literally bend the blade along with the casing with your fingers.Review by Thompson (Posted on 7/24/2016)
CCM should be ashamed of this skate. I bought a pair for my son. The first pair he tried on at the store fit well and were in the right price range. Unfortunately one of the blades was loose. You could here a noise when he walked on it. The store didn't have another pair in his size so I ordered a pair online. When they came, I tried them on as my foot is the same size as my sons. It turns out BOTH blades had the same problem. I realize this is a low priced skate, but without a functioning blade they are useless.Review by Hockey Dad (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I bought these skates, and I'm a bench warmer for my varsity high school team, so I practice fairly often and play every now and then, and these skates suck. Much too weak when it comes to the sides, and it is not very protective. A shot to my foot hurt way more than it should, and I've become attuned to it because I play defense.Review by CoolDude37 (Posted on 7/24/2016)
