The Tacks name is legendary among hockey skates. Boasting a rich history dating all the way back to 1905, we knew any new boot to bear the “Tackaberry” name would have a lot to live up to. Let us be the first to say, the CCM Tacks 5052 Junior delivers great support, durability, and performance; ideal for the skater that demands more from a boot.
The heart and soul of the Junior Tacks 5052 boot is CCM’s new Fiber Reinforced ATTACKFRAME™. Comprised of rigid fiber reinforcements in both the heel and eyelet facing, these attack fibers store and release energy as the player flexes forward; and when combined with CCM’s Formula T5 Core, the result is a responsive boot with explosive speed.
The new SpeedBlade 4.0 Holder design provides an additional four millimeters of height (when compared to the older E-Pro holder), which allows for a greater angle of attack and more aggressive turns. Complementing the SpeedBlade 4.0 Holder is CCM’s SpeedBlade Stainless steel runner, which provides a long lasting edge for long term performance. The holders are then riveted to a Vented Fiber Nylon Composite Outsole which helps increase torsional rigidity and maximize energy transfer.
CCM’s commitments to fit and comfort are easily seen in the new Tacks 5052 Junior skate. The Contoured Fit profile provides a close fit in the heel and ankle with a medium width throughout the boot. A quick drying, heavy duty, Microfiber material lines the inside of the boot, which ensures a comfortable fit along with great durability. Add a 7mm Felt Tongue with EVA foam and external, injected lace bite protection, and you have a boot that provides lightweight performance with superior fit and comfort. The package is finished with CCM’s Fit System footbed for added comfort and support.
If you’re looking for increased stiffness and performance to help take your game to the next level, pick up the CCM Tacks 5052 Junior today and go on the attack!
