I bought these skates for my son who is 6foot and 215lbs. he wears a size 13 wide shoe. His previous skates were Vapors 5.0 and out grew them. He has a very wide foot and we went to a pro shop to try on some Supremes but they didn't have any EE he tried on a 10.5D and got his foot in but were tight by the toes. I went online and looked at these, I got him 10.5D,because they are supposed to be a wider fit and figured I would send them back if they were tight, they fit him perfect. I even tried them on and they felt great, I wear an 11 shoe, had a bit of room but felt better than the Vapors that I have. The 6000 have lots of protection in the tongue and support in the boot. If my skates wear out these will be the next pair that I get. My son plays Bantams and has put these through a pretty good test so far and really likes them! If you have a wide foot get these skates, you won't be disappointed! Also I didn't get these baked and he went straight on the ice with them, he said they felt good and didn't need to be baked.Review by 2 boys and a hockey dad (Posted on 7/24/2016)
My prior skate was a Reebok 14K (9.5EE) that began to fall apart after two years. I was steered to the Reeboks because they told me they were better for people with wide feet. I will totally disagree with that statement. The Nexus 6000 in EE are wider and more comfortable than the Reeboks. I will stick with the Bauers since their quality appears to be far superior to the Reeboks.Review by Hockey dad (Posted on 7/24/2016)
replaced an older uncomfortable pair of supreme EE with a pair of nexus D, have slightly wide and uneven sized feet and it worked out perfect. Very comfortable right out of the box, little break in time. Feels like old school bauers used to, slightly flexy but in a good springy way. Great value..I play 2-3 times a week and held up good so far, maybe next time I'll get the 7000 just for overall stiffnessReview by skatefast (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I use these skates 2 or 3 times a week skating around with a few other guys passing and shooting the puck. i also use them at general session skating. They are lightweight, sold built, and have a wide toe box (i have wide feet and these Nexus line fit great) After have them baked, first time out with them and they felt great. Had a pair of Reebok 14Ks which were good skates, but to narrow for my feet. Switched to the Nexus 6000, best move i made.Review by Mike (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Attractively priced skates with all the bells & whistles of higher end brands. I was quite impressed with how comfortable and durable these skates were. I baked them once and they were ready to go.Review by David the Hockey Guru (Posted on 7/24/2016)
