    Good but needs alteration

All in all not a bad pant once you've done a little alteration. With the current sizing, I am between a men's small and a boy's extra large. I found that the boy's xl fit better. I used to wear an old pair of Cooper hp 15 men's size small which I bought back in 1977. (okay now you get an Idea of how old I am.) That old Cooper pant fit me perfectly. So I was looking for something comparable. I found that today's new pants are very bulky and when I tried them on it looked like I was wearing a "pickle barrel." The Sher-wood 5030 tradition pant fit great around the waist but the thigh area was much too wide, and the thigh pads had very little curvature, they were almost flat. So what I did was to remove the thigh pads, heat them in my kitchen oven, (no more than 170 degrees for 7 minutes, just like you do with skates) then bend them to a curved shape that was more form fitting around my thighs. In addition, the hem at the bottom of the pants was still too wide, so I brought it to my local tailor who tapered off two inches. Now the pants fit great and look like a true traditional pant form the 1970's and 80's.
