The New Bauer Vapor 1X Lite continues Bauer’s trend of bringing true innovation to their premier sticks. The 1X Lite continues to improve on the previous QRT technology, while introducing its ACL (Advanced Carbon Layering) blade technology. These improvements from the ’16 model help deliver a lighter, stronger, and more responsive stick designed for a quick release off the blade.

The 1X Lite is still constructed using is Monocomp technology for a true 1-piece stick that improves balance and maximizes energy transfer. The shaft is also constructing using TeXtreme technology for a more durable and lightweight shaft. The eLASTech resin system keeps small cracks from spreading when they occur resulting in a longer stick life. The Aero-Sense blade core continues to dampen vibration and improve durability.

Bauer unleashes its upgraded QRT Plus shot technology in the 1X Lite. The hosel opens 20% less than the previous QRT, resulting in a more versatile Vapor stick. The QRT plus improves performance during one timers, slap shots, and hard passes while still keeping the quick release the Vapor line is known for.

New for the 1X Lite is the ACL (Advanced Carbon Layering) blade. This innovative design uses 13% thinner carbon fibers at different angles to create a stronger more responsive blade. The blade is 7% lighter with an 11% improvement in taper recoil. This benefits the player with quicker stickhandling movement and an even quicker release. The blade is wrapped with TeXtreme for added durability and weight reduction.

Overall the stick weight has been reduced by 15 grams making it the lightest Vapor sticks to date. The increased responsiveness and blade stability make the new Bauer Vapor 1X Lite the perfect stick for getting faster shots on net quicker than ever before.

Weight comparisons are for the Senior Stick only.

Good Twig

I'd say of all the sticks I've used this probably the lightest and quickest that I've ever come across. I generally like to use 87 flex sticks because they load fairly effortlessly but I used this stick in a 95 flex and it was just as quick and easy to load up as an 87 but resulted in a harder shot. I think it's a great stick but definetly on the expensive side.

I've read a bunch of the reviews about this stick breaking at the blade and I'm sort of surprised. I did end up breaking the stick along the shaft but a player fell directly on my stick and I don't think any twig out there besides maybe an old school aluminum would have held up. Even still, the stick didn't break in-half which is surprising given a 200lbs man was forcefully crosschecked on to it. However, the shaft was cracked enough it killed the power in my shots so I had to retire it to the pile of short of broken sticks.

I will preface my review by saying as a rule I tend not to take slapshots. I go through sticks fairly often but have never had a problem really with any Bauer stick breaking at the blade. I tend to break most in the bottom third of shaft and that's just due to being hacked by others while shooting.

If you have money and want an exceptional stick this is probably the best on the market especially if you like taking wristers and getting your shots of super quickly.

Terrible Quality

When the 1x lite came out I was hoping that Bauer had fixed the blade problem from the original 1x but sad to say i was disappointed. While this may be the best looking stick out there there isn’t a less durable stick. After 2 games the blade already broke and since I loved the stick I figured I’d give it a second chance only to be disappointed again. In total I went through 8 of these in 4 months because I loved the stick so much and figured that sooner or later there had to be one that’d be durable but wow was I wrong. The fact that I broke 8 wasn’t as irritating at the part that they all broke in the same spot(I even tried pro stock and they were just as bad). While some people might say stop slashing and wacking your stick in frustration trust me I’m the last guy to do that cause these bad boys aren’t cheap. In recap I’d say it’s an unreal twig but unless you’ve got loads of dough or you’re pickin em up for nothing you might not wanna break the bank for a twig that’ll last you not even a month.

Not Durable

I purchased this stick for my son and he got about 5 games out of it before we noticed the blade was cracked. It was the next practice that the blade broke completely off on a normal wrister. Make no mistake this stick is extremely light and performs well when it's in one piece. It's just way too expensive for such poor quality. He had a several team mates who got 1X Lite's at the same time and there is only one that is still surviving.

We have always used Warrior sticks in the past and will probably return to them going forward.

1X Lite Grip Stick

This stick just simply CAN NOT hold up to the rigors of taking shots and everyday use. My son has broken 10 stick already since the stick was released. I am getting about one month of use out of the stick if that. I am trying the CCM 3D stick next because we have a concern with the poor craftsmanship and Durability of the stick but the performance of the stick is in a different legend then its competitors. I have an email into Bauer's R&D team about my concerns but have not got any response from them yet. I am saving my money for now until the new generation comes out and maybe I will switch back if my son does not like the performance of the new CCM 3D stick. I hope Bauer addresses the problem with the craftsmanship and durability of the stick in the next generation.

Perfect stick for forwards

Lighting quick release, super light, perfect for drag snap shots, wrist shots, and quick, low one timers. Very bad at slapshots as the blade seems to turn over every once in a while. Puck seems to go higher than where I aim, but that could be users error. Overall, a great stick from the vapor line, probably the best yet.

extremely good stick durability was very good on mine but seems to very

This stick is amazing and it makes you never want to use any other stick. I got this stick last christmas and used it throghout the majority of my highschool season where it held up to intense practices evry day and games. it just broke today when the toe got smashed into the boards with the weight of another player on it adn snapped. i highly reccomed this stick for anyone who values a quick snapshot and great puck feel. For me the durbility was actually suprising it held up to alot of slashing and numerous shots to the shaft and toe.

1X Lite Grip Stick

This stick break too easy. Has good performance but the craftsmanship and the durability of the stick is very poor. The 1X stick was better. I hope Bauer works on the durability and craftsmanship of the stick or I would need to switch after playing with a Bauer stick for 12 years.

Poor quality

Now I always read on here peoples reviews about how sticks break and then I try them and they never do. So when I read this on here I had my doubts. However when I bought the stick and used it in just one game. I knocked a pass out of mid air right near the hossel and it put a huge crack in it. I couldn’t believe that just after one game. Now I will tell you it performed very well besides all of that but the quality is just terrible. Side note I have owned almost every top end stick from Bauer, CCM, True, Sherwood, Easton and Warrior in the past 10 years and this was the worst duribility I have ever seen. Unless your rich and can afford to buy them when you please or you’re pro and don’t pay for them.
