    Good Mask

I have been wearing a cage for over 40 years and there isn't much you can review about one from another. I started noticing awhile ago some cages stuck out further then others. This cage has a different profile then all the ones i had in the past. The visibility is the same on both style of cages. I replace cages every two years due to rust, lets see what this one does in two years. I ordered a small helmet and a medium cage. I tried a large cage on the small helmet and it did not work.

Side straps are more difficult to do up and high cost are the drawbacks!

Good cage overall but pricing can be a prohibitive factor! $100.00 Canadian?
Light weight strength and puck sight factors are the positives
They are less expensive than the dentistry bills you might need though
Lost front chiclets can cost $1000.00 each!

    Worth it, read why

This cage is amazing. It does not have the flat wires like some of the other higher visable cages, but the cage wires are failry thin, and at this point you're splitting hairs worrying about getting mm's off the wire circumference. Its insanely light (it's really hard to believe), you can barley feel it when you first hold the cage in your hand; it really makes you wonder if it can protect your face, feels like it might shatter because it's so light. But no, it's very strong, can hold up to anything. My only negative feedback is it's slightly too tight to fit up into the J Clips on the helmet, but just barley, it is tolerable enough, and will get better over time as your head, helmet, and cage adjusts. On a side note: you should wear a cage. Unless you played juniors and/or above, for a considerable amount of time and are really used to no cage, you have no reason to not wear a cage other than you're a tool bag who wants to look cool. I see about a half dozen idiots get their face smashed in during each season, and they all agree it's just not worth it. even if you have the best dental/health insurance in the world, reconstructive surgery is just not a fun process to go through. Again, every single guy I know, even guys who've just suffered from a few stiches, they all agree it's just not worth it.

    Exellent for Reebok 11K helmet

Fits perfectly with Reebok's 11k helmet.
It's verry light weight, good quality and the grid did not disturb the vision.
Until now I had used "Bauer concept lll full face shield". I dont think i will go back to this again.

I use the same size as the helmet.

    LOVE IT

i have always used a full plastic shield, but they get scratched and found myself replacing them about 2 times a year. I never liked the cages of 10 years ago hence why i been using the shield.

well this thing is awesome...it is very easy to see out of. I had some reservation with it while sitting looking out of it at home. well one game later I am writing this!!!!

Great Cage - Worth the Price

I have an Easton 300 (medium) helmet. This cage (medium size) fit after changing out the parts (included). The cage that came with my helmet seemed to be the same size. But when installed the cage only, the fit didn't seem right. After changing out the parts, all good. The only difference with this cage is that I have to have the helmet on first, then the chin strap connected before I can lock in the cage...No big since that's my normal routine anyway;) My first game with cage I took a hard high stick - no problems! The mask is definately lighter! Not sure about the visibility of the cage itself, but the color of the mask is better than my previously all black cage. Also, the oval shaped bars seem to help with visibility a little. This cage rocks! Amo...

    You won't miss your visor

I first tried a cage about 5 years ago, but it only lasted a couple games before I had to switch back to a half-visor as I found it quite bulky and the sight lines were very poor.

Anyways, after recently dropping another grand on dental repairs I decided I needed to try it again. The re-akt cage is actually probably lighter than the visor setup I had (bauer x100 quick-release), and this time I had no adjustments to make with visibility either.

I'll never go back to a visor now and my face and wallet will thank me for it.

    worth the $$$$

At first I sais no way to spending that much on a cage. my current cage is so heavy and knew i needed a change. I decided to buy this one.....worth every penny. it is so light and the sight lines are perfect. i will never hear another person scream "keep your headup" again.

    Great cage

First cage where a medium is too small. Light. Good visibility. Chin cup is light and comfortable but dirties and scratches easily from scruff/goatee. Worth it. A few friends have it on different helmets including super light Eastons making a great combo ( if it fits).

    Amazing

Seems expensive but its worth the price. Lighter than a feather. Match it up with the Easton 700 helmet for the lightest combo ever. Excellent product. You get what you pay for.
