Rolled the dice and didn't lose

I'm 6'5" so I knew I was really taking a chance, I got one stick which was 63" and one that was 60", so I'll grab an extender for one and be satisfied with the one that was longer (though I wouldn't have minded an extra inch). Beggars can't be choosers, after all, and they're nice sticks.

Senior mystery stick purchase

'I couldn't be more pleased with the quality, performance, and price of the sticks I received. A Warrior QRL and a pro stock Sherwood. Definitely will do it again when I need new twigs

A lottery you're likely to win

The main reason to buy sticks this way is the rock bottom price, roughly half the cost of full retail. Everything I've gotten has been pro stock, so take a look at the pro stock page and if there's nothing you're interested in, then that's the only reason not to buy. One small caveat: pro stocks dont have a factory warranty. The good folks who pack them do read your comments and try to accommodate. Definitely going to play this lotto a few more times.

Fantastic value

This has got to be the best deal going. I can play with a few slightly different blade patterns and am not picky about the brand name, so this option suits me. It beats the heck out of spending 150 on a stick. Will be back to buy more once my backup stick takes a crap.

Absolutely nailed the stick selection

I was blown away by the stick elections I received. After not breaking a stick for two years, I managed to break 3 sticks in 2 weeks. I was desperate.

I asked for 85-105 Flex and as close to the E28 as you can do.

I got a pro stock Warrior QRL Pro W28 in 85 flex (Currently $110)
and a Ristolainen Pro stock QRE SL in 105 flex. Curve close to W28 but not quite as open. (Currently $159).

I want whoever picked these sticks for me to know that they absolutely made my day.

Risk is worth the Reward Luck of the Draw

Took a risk and ordered I’m fairly new to playing and still learning what I like and don’t like in a stick and figured why not give this a shot. I simply asked for an 85 flex and got it and got the Warrior QRL Pro Stock with the Yakupov curve. This is hard to find brand new most are left handed so I got lucky I look forward to playing with it and more than happy that the risk was worth the reward

Best decision i have made buying hockey sticks

I was a little skeptical at first wondering how this could be possible to spend 150 bucks on 2 sticks and get 300 in value back but i read to comments and everyone seemed pleased. So i decided to give it a shot i have been using an array of sticks as it is hard to find sticks that are 95 flex or higher unless in pro stock and the store by me carries very few if any at a time so i put it in the comments hockey monkey did not disappoint sending me a warrior wresl and a sherwood pro both 95 and 105 super happy hockey monkey has a permanent customer with what they are doing for their customers with mystery stick

Luck of the draw - beware: comments left will not be factored in

The question here is not whether you are going to get a good stick or not, or a great value - you are. This stick feels great, is incredibly light, and is worth well more than $80. If you're not picky about what you get, I highly recommend getting a mystery stick.

But if you're at least somewhat picky about what you want - like I am - then I would caution you may get a stick that makes no sense for you.

My additional comments I left:
6'3", play defense, mid/mid-heel/heel curve pref.

Stick I received:
Sherwood Pro-Grip
PP26 (Mid-Toe)
Flex: 75 (!!!)

I thought leaving a comment of "6'3", plays D, mid-heel curve preferred" should give a good general idea of the type of stick I'm looking for - tall, stronger flex, and no banana curves.

Instead I received a 75 flex with a mid-toe curve. The curve is fine, I've used mid-toe before, not my favorite but I'll survive. But a 75 flex for a 6'3" defenseman? That to me just says HM is not looking at the comments left at all, they're just filling orders and you get what you get.

Which is fine I guess... it does say clearly in the description "Due to the nature of this item, we cannot accept requests for specific flexes or patterns".

I was just hoping someone filling the order would even just glance at my comment of being a tall D-man and say to themselves "ok, anything tall and sturdy is fine" and not think "75 flex, sure, send" but it is what it is I guess. Hopefully it lasts longer than a month or two without me snapping it.

Worth it.

To summarize everyone else, tough to beat value and you get a good stick. They’ll match your preferences as close as they can. I was initially disappointed i got the Sherwood, but after trying it out i am a believer. Big fan now.
