If you thought TRUE was a new company, guess again. With over 14 years of experience and over 2 million sticks produced for leading hockey companies, TRUE is making a splash into the stick market by coming direct to you! As the world leader of golf shaft technology TRUE is set on providing the hockey industry with superior stick designs made from the highest quality materials and strictest manufacturing processes. Bent on providing pure domination at every level of the game, TRUE designed the A5.2 and rest of the “A” series line with just that in mind.

TRUE utilized a high pressure clave molding process which they patented under the title “Axenic Technology.” The advantage of using this manufacturing process is it yields a true one-piece hockey stick and results in very consistent internal walls and shaft shape, a very low void content, uninterupted flexural energy transfer and of course an amazing balance and feel. Working alongside the Axenic Technology, Smartply Technology is the “recipe” TRUE implemented to optimize performance and industry leading impact strength. Smartply tech is a laminate design that is used with up to 25 inner layers of unidirectional carbon fiber; the way the fibers are angled and the order of those angles are what control torsional stiffness and protect from impact damage while maximizing performance and durability.

The A5.2 is 100% 3K carbon fiber weave and has a graduated mid-flex profile for optimal performance and feel in all game situations. With TRUE’s Smartflex Technology, the top of the shaft is softer to allow the player to add leverage on wrist shots and increased feel. This tech is also applied from the center of shaft to the blade with a stiffer tip section that allows for stability and accuracy in a slapshot motion. New for 2016 is the BRT blade technology. The seamless braided tubes located at the center and and bottom of the blade produce the longest lasting and most consistent blade we've ever made, up to 50% stronger than its predecessor the ABII technology!

Made from the highest quality materials and strictest manufacturing processes, it is no doubt that the super durable A5.2 stick is one of the best high performance sticks on the market. From elite players to house league players, if you are looking for a lightweight all-around pro stick with an extremely quick release, unparrelled balance and impact strength, then TRUE’s A5.2 SBP stick may be for you!

Player Profile True's A6.0 was made for the NHL elite player all the way down to house league players. This is the all around pro stick designed for the player looking for unmatched raw power, balance and strength.

Seriously Awesome Stick

This is an awesome stick! Lightweight and durable, handles better than every stick I've tried from CCM Super Tacks to Bauer Nexus, and none of them compare. Awesome all-round stick, you definitely get the full value for this twig!

Love this stick.

Love this stick. Started playing at a late age and need more flex so the 75 was perfect. Wristers are quick, hit hard, and great control. Been very durable in low level Beer Leauge where guys can't skate and abuse equipment.

unfortunate

Shoots very well. Unfortunately, I blocked a shot with it in its third game and it snapped in half. A credit to the shooter, I suppose.

Great stick, increased durability, but pricey

There is a noticeable difference between the SBP and original models of this stick in terms of blade durability. I went through a few A5.2s wearing out the blade before deciding to spend a little extra on the SBP version. The performance is basically the same with the added benefit of extended durability, meaning you're getting far more skates out of your stick and need to replace it far less frequently.

The biggest downside to this stick is that it seemingly never goes on sale, so you're going to be paying the full price.

About what i expected

5'10 190 beer leaguer
Flex 85-mc curve (p88)

I have skated two times with this stick.

Ill try and keep it short. The only thing I do not like about this stick is, i feel like it will snap with a slap shot or one-timer. I have always gone with 85-87 flex but this seems to "whippy" for my liking. Slap shots feel more like a 75 flex. I would go up in flex if I got another stick.

But overall, I am a big fan of the color scheme (I'm a sucker for some nice graphics) but Obviously most important sniping, saucing and handling is on point.

Would recommend.
