Details

The primary focus of Warrior’s Covert QR Edge Grip Senior Hockey Stick is to get pucks off the blade as quickly as possible. And this stick does just that, thanks to a few key upgrades in design and material.

With this idea in mind, the Covert QR Edge Stick features a new angular edge taper at the bottom third of the shaft that drives flex energy through the hosel, amplifying your shot speed and response. This design goes hand in hand with the Edge Quick-Release technology, which makes it even easier to load up your shots, giving you that much more of an explosive release.

This new taper design and release is accompanied by a super low-kick point, which provides one of the fastest shot releases of any stick on the market. This design is perfect for players who love to take quick snapshots and wristshots.

Warrior went with their True 1 Phantom one-piece construction for this stick, designed to decrease the weight of the stick, but also incorporate better energy transfer. Minimus 1200 Carbon is used in the build of the stick, which is an extremely lightweight and durable material, keeping your stick game ready for longer.

If you are an elite-level player looking for elite performing stick, look no further than the Warrior Covert QR Edge Grip Senior Hockey Stick!

Great twig!

Always been an Easton guy, but had to branch out after they closed up shop. I randomly landed on this and love it. Great mix of stiffness, kick and feel. Puck snaps off the blade with great accuracy and minimal effort. I was even impressed with the durability. Money well spent!

Pretty good stick here

I am tall so I love that Warrior has the 63 inch stick. The newer design at the bottom of the shaft made a huge difference in the quickness and power you can get out of your snapshot. For what it is in the modern era of composite sticks it is durable, but still dont expect more than 6 months out of it if you skate 3 or more times a week. That is an upgrade, I used to go through about one stick every 3 months and have been playing with the top Covert, whatever they called it for the time, for a good 7 or 8 years now.

Great Stick

Love the responsiveness of this stick. I remember my first shot in warm ups and I said to myself, wow this stick has good pop. (Right, 85, Backstrom, Senior)

Only Con would be the color scheme. I do feel like these graphics are geared towards a younger demographic rather than the older crowd. (not a huge con, but I would like to point that out. ).

Lightning quick release

I’ve been using mid kick point twigs for about 6 years until deciding to go back to a low kick point. The low kick point on this stick is amazing. My first game with this twig I was really caught off guard how quick wristers and snappers released off the blade! Literally what I was looking for to get out of a new stick. What’s even better is that warrior makes a 65 flex in a senior shaft which is what I’ve always wanted! No more going to stiff with senior shafts or to whippy after adding plugs to intermediates! Not to mention this stick is extremely light weight and very well balanced! I chopped it down about an inch and it still feels well balanced. Highly recommend this twig!

Great fit and feel for my game

After trying a few 85-102 Sr. sticks and intermediate 60-70 flex sticks. It was nice to get a senior length stick with a 65 flex. I easier to load the stick and get some whip in my shots. Clappers are awesome. Wrist and snappers have never been harder. Even if I don't have time to load the stick. The shots come off pretty good. I've also noticed harder passes and the ability to receive hard passes, forehand or backhand, are more controlled.

Great Twig

This is going to be short. It works as fast as you want. Whether it's the shot or the stick handling, it's as quick as you make it. My shots feel accurate and fast. My handling is A1. Passes are on the dot. It is a little pricey, but it seems to be worth it. Slap shots are easy and the blade doesn't bend. I don't know about durability yet, as I've only had it for a month. Overall, it's the most solid stick I've owned. If you want to know what I have, here's a list.
2015 Bauer 1x, 2018 Bauer 1s, 2017 Bauer 1n, Sherwood EK40, CCM Super Tacks 2.0, Sherwood T120, True A6.0, 2016 CCM Ribcor, Warrior QRL, True XC9 and XC9 ACF, Easton Mako, Warrior QR1, CCM Trigger 2, and a STX Surgeon RX2

I think I know a good hockey stick when I use it.

Awesome twig

The first thing I noticed when stepping on the ice with the Qr Edge is how light in the hands it feels. Not crazy light, just right thanks to Warriors new Minimus Carbon 1200. Stick handling was awesome because it still has that great responsive stiff blade found in the Qrl. The QrEdge has a square shaft geometry with a nice coat of grip. I’ve noticed Warrior has gone with a slightly textured grip on the top corners and sides of the shaft leaving the bottom of the shaft without any texture. Now lets talk about that Edge taper. A cool looking taper Warrior has designed to help magnify power and quick release. Warrior has done a great job outlining the Edge taper lines with the popping oranges in the design. The first few shot felt a little odd, but once I found that sweet spot again, woah, watch out! The shots came off quick and hard! Even when taking a slap shot, the puck came off stronger than its predecessor. I also found that with the new Edge taper, the QrEdge has a more predictable and accurate shot.
