My gear started stinking up the laundry room and my girlfriend was about to make me take all my hockey equipment out to our detached garage (I live in Michigan and its winter so it would have froze my gear). Soooo, I bought the Rocket and it has been the best investment I have ever made. I spray my hockey equipment down with a odor eliminator, put dryer sheets in the Rocket, and turn that bad boy on. Within the first couple days of doing this I didn't have a weird hockey odor in my laundry room anymore and I am no longer being threatened to keep my equipment in the garage. YEAH!Review by Erik (Posted on 12/23/2016)
The Rocket Sports Dryer really works great. Easy to set up and equipment is dry in an hour. Packs up into the provided travel bag with ease. It is worth every pennyReview by askTony (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I HAVE 2 TEENAGE BOYZ IN HIGH LEVEL HOCKEY AND IT IS USED TWICE A NIGHT FOR 5 OR 6 TIMES A WEEK SO FAR GREATEST IDEA YET,CANT WAIT TIL OUT OF TOWN TOURNEYS TO TEST IT FOR 4 TIMES A DAYReview by HOCKEY COACH DAD (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I actually live overseas so I had to get a power converter since it is 120v. It dries all my hockey equipment and my kids(3) clothes too since we dont own a dryer. I'm very pleased with this product and told all my friends about it too. Although they dont play hockey they dont have dryers either.Review by Andrew A (Posted on 7/24/2016)
The Rocket Dryer is awesome!! I play 3 to 4 times a week and it fits all my goalie equipment with ease! Great price for the satisfaction it provides!Review by Duff (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I have started to skate 3 times a week now and sometimes in back-to-back nights and the "hanging the equipment in the garage" was not working well anymore due to the weather change and dampness outside. I asked for this as a gift and have used it four times since getting it. Everytime I have put it on for 120 minutes after playing (More time because i'm a "sweat soaker") and it's always fully dry. Definitely worth getting.Review by Louis Easton (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Great Product! This is so easy to use and makes your equipment dry in only an hour. The unit deosn't take up to much space in my garage and is easily put away. I would recommend this product to everyone.Review by Kevin C. (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Between running clinics, playing 2-3x a week and scrimmaging twice a week, I'm on the ice a minimum of 5x a week through the spring. As a former fan of the Shock Doctor hockey bag, I've switched over to a Grit ht1 and the Rocket Sports Dryer to keep up to 3 sets of full equipment maintained, dry and odor free. While I miss the luxury of keeping my stuff in my bag like the old Shock Doctor, the combo certainly does the trick! My only gripe is how easy it is to drop/lose the attached hanging "S" hooks. I'm looking forward to bringing these 2 products to tournaments!Review by Pattyhang (Posted on 7/24/2016)
This is great!!! i have hockey pretty much everyday a week. on weekends i have 2-4 games. this keeps my stuff dry for the next skate and i love it. it was worth every penny. this is a great buy for all constant hockey players who want to keep their equipment nice.Review by D-Boy (Posted on 7/24/2016)
This is a great product! It fits adult sized equipment with ease. I have a unheated garage and on really cold nights it's not feasible to let our gear air dry. The Rocket Dryer lets me dry my sons equipment while I'm out playing, then I can put his gear back in his bag dry, while I dry mine. I haven't traveled with it yet, but I suspect it will be really useful at our next tournament.Review by The Few, The Proud, The Hockey Dads (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Handles all of my gear. Dries and cleans at the same tim with no smell left afterwards to stink up the room. It was a saving grace for me as I live in a Loft apartment with my wife. Best purchase I've made on hockeymonkey.comReview by Rockstar Dan (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Live in a condo and don't have a garage so this is perfect for drying my gear quickly and keeping smells down. I use to keep my gear in my truck and have to unfreeze it on game days but now I can dry it right after my games. Easily fits in a half bath and I turn it on with the fan going and my place never smells. Wife appreciates it.Review by Longarms (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Everyday the kids get home from practice or a game, we use the dryer.Review by Hockey Mom (Posted on 7/24/2016)
We use it after every practice. Keeps the garage from smelling of dirty hockey gear. Worth the money spent on it!Review by Sven17 (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I think I was the first to buy this from HM when it came out. It is by far the best purchase I've made for combating the smell of gear. My son and I play a ton of hockey, so this thing is going all the time. I took it to his most recent tournament and it was awesome. My only small issue is that the hooks are easy to lose. I drilled small holes in the frame and secured them myself.Review by StrongD41 (Posted on 7/24/2016)
If you can't stand wet, smelly gear, buy this product NOW! You won't regret it.
This dryer is awesome, lightweight, easy to pack up and travel with. Wonderful to have with at hotel to dry out gear. Use after everytime practice, game etc. all equipment fits and hangs nicely and drys within 1/2 to hour with no odor! Would definitely buy this again!!Review by IT (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Agree with all of the previous positive reviews. Very effective at drying gear quickly and consistently. Gear is typically completely in 1.5 hours. Easy to assemble and disassemble, which is ideal for bringing it along with you to tournaments. Best of all, its footprint is less than one square meter. Comes with 10 hooks (which will be sufficient for most users), but I don't see why you couldn't just buy more from the hardware store if needed. This is a must-have item for the occasional rec player or minor hockey parent.Review by Mike J (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Amazing product. It dries your hockey gear fast and dries it very well.It is very easy to put together and it is very easy to hang up your gear on it and take it apart.Review by Aquabats Fan (Posted on 7/24/2016)
We use this after every practice and game. It is very useful when playing tournaments with multiple games in a day! It dries equipment fast and is easy to assemble and take apart. Transports easily in a little shoulder bag.Review by PenguinRocker (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I sweat A LOT! It used to take 2 days for my gear to completely dry out. 1 if I put it on the floor and used a box fan. The Rocket has my gear bone dry in 2-3 hours, including my skates!Review by Matt (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I've been using this for a month, works great! Dries out anything you put in there, I can fit all of my hockey pads at once. No more leaving my pads outside. My pads are actually lighter when I start a game because they're completely dry.Review by Eli (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Getting equipment dry is a big part of also keeping it from smelling up the joint. Not that I am overly sensitive about it, but I would rather my home not smell like the rink. The Rocket does a great job drying my gear and it gets it up out of the way. Well done all around.Review by apton77 (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Works as described. Super portable! Keeps the smell away. So easy to use. Love using it at tournaments and after practice!! Great buy!!!!Review by K (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Expensive does Not hold all gear at onceReview by jm (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I have only used it twice, but so far it fried my equipment in 90 min and there is no more odor to my equipment. It is a great device.Review by Bret (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I bought this after getting sick of having gear that is still wet three days later, and it's been great!Review by Rob (Posted on 7/24/2016)
My only complaint is that after two years of use the pole holding everything up has started to sag to one side, and the zipper on the bag has broke.
But despite those minor complaints the most important thing is that this keeps the gear in the garage and away from my wife's nose.
I got this as a gift. My baby mama got it for me actually. She claimed my gear bag smelled like a trash dumpster on a hot and humid summer day. My wifey aka baby mama often times says things like "get that bag out of the house" "get that bag out of the garage" "get that bag off of our property" "get that bag out of our neighborhood."Review by Captain AwesomeSauce (Posted on 7/24/2016)
This device saved my marriage. No more stanky gear. All is back to normal in my household again. Thank you Rocket Dryer!!!
My woman constantly was riding my backside about my hockey baggage being stinky. I could not handle the nagging longer. I buy this machine the Rocket Sport Drying system and it saves my day. After a good skate or match i immediately place Drago gear in the system and place power on for 1 hour or more depending on my sweatiness. Drago sweat lots and play hard usually. The unit let off little sound telling me it is on. My gear all fit nicely onto rack system and baggy fills with warm air. It do smell a bit when first drying wet gear but that go away. I like most having my gear in dryer and being able to warm gear before big game. It is cold in Russia and this help keep Drago gear very nice. Drago no like placing on frozen equipment.Review by Drago (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Most importantly my woman and I are now still going strong and she no longer nags Drago about hockey stench.
I can't 100% verify that this reduces odor, though I do rubber-band dryer sheets to the center post.Review by hkystar35 (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Overall, this is a fantastic solution for drying out really any sports equipment. It has enough room for my to dry a full set of player gear in addition to extra referee gear, though a bit snug with all of that. It dries everything quickly and thoroughly, even in the sub 30-degree-Fahrenheit temperature of my garage. I've taken it with me several times to the ice rink, where I've had to referee a few games, then play later in the day. It's nice having dry skates...
Not much to complain about, other than the carry case just barely fits the heater unit. It's far too snug, so most times I just carry it on its own separate from the rest. Could do with a long power cord, but a grounded extension cord easily remedies that.
