CCM Hockey and TaylorMade® Golf have partnered together with a collaboration of performance enhancing technologies and innovations in the RBZ™ stick. You often hear golfers talk about swing speed, well this stick has improved weight distribution in order to give you a balanced stick with a smooth and fast swing motion. The RBZ™ also features a constant flex profile in the shaft. Basically, this gives you a customized kick point that is determined by the placement of your lower hand. Typically, the kick point of a stick is predetermined in the construction for a specific type of release. The RBZ™ adapts to your playing style.
CCM uses an aerial grade carbon for the construction of the shaft. The senior shaft uses a Traditional geometry with square-corners. This shape in addition to a grip finish on the stick give you optimal control.
There's really no visible taper to the RBZ™ because of the constant flex profile, just a nice transition of where the blade and shaft are fused together.
Drawing on some of the same principles that power the TaylorMade® Rocketballz™, the CCM RBZ™ features SpeedBlade Technology™ . Instead of using foam in the core of the blade, there are 4 speed channels that run the length of the blade that have been specifically tuned to provide feel and control and engineered to increase what's known as the coefficient of restitution or C.O.R. Basically, this is a trampoline effect of the amount of energy return at the point of impact. The result is a shot with increased velocity. Blade durability is also improved because of the 3 bridges that run the length of the blade between the speed channels.
With proven performance enhancing technologies in the golf industry, TaylorMade® has collaborated with CCM to introduce some of the same principles to hockey in the RBZ™ with innovations that provide faster swing speed, a custom kick point and a blade with a hot face. You've got to try one!
