just amazing i love it sooo mucReview by Rob (Posted on 7/24/2016)
This helmet is amazing! It's lightweight, comfortable, and looks great! I went from the Easton Z-Shock to this helmet and wow! Reeboks floating liner hugs your head and basically form fits to your head. I'll say it again, this helmet is AMAZING!Review by Tweek (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I have to admit that buying this helmet hurt. It was not cheap! Is it worth it? That's up to you but if you're looking for an advanced design helmet that fits like no other and offers protection like no other, break open your wallet for this.Review by Heiko (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I had bought a 6K since it was such a great deal (see my 6K review) but that model and the 8K simply did not fit my head. The shell design is different from the 6K/8K to the 11K. The 6K/8K has a lower brow while this has a sleeker shell.
This helmet is unbelievably lightweight. It feels like nothing on your head but the protection it offers is still top notch. The inner hard foam liner free floats to fit your head just right. You don't fit the helmet, the helmet fits you. The neon green gel padding feels great and offers comfort and protection. The 360 micro dial does work. When I turn it a few notches, I can feel the whole helmet wrap around my head. It's not too tight but does hold the helmet on perfectly.
The price was way more than I wanted to spend but when I put it on my head it was the best feel and it was perfect. The comfort, the protection, and the looks make me forget about the money.
use it almost every day going up to the rink and just shooting some puck with some ppl or in my games for my leagues.... used it alot since ive got it and just the best all around helmet so far.Bmcarveth[@] ;)Review by Jeffery the giraffe (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Just bought it yesterday its awesome light weight not bulky at all completely forms to your head.Dont get the rbk cage though it sucks i got the bauer 9900 cageReview by STAMKOS! (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I just bought this helmet a few weeks ago and i love it. It is super comfortable and a huge step up from my old Nike Bauer 9500. I went for this one over another bauer because the pads kept falling out and they seemed much wider. You cant even feel this helmet when it is on. Awesome. I am on the ice 5 times a week and it is holding up great.Review by D-Man (Posted on 7/24/2016)
i went from using a Reebok 4k helmet to the 11k. The 11k is comfortable and lightweight. I have a Bauer 1500 mask on and thats the heaviest part about the helmet. Overall i would reccomended this to anyone regardless of who it is.Review by Blueberry (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Perfect fit and cushion is soft helmet is good i wanted to get the combo but medium cage did not fit but medium helmet did. Theirfor i got just the helmet and a ccm medium but it squeezed the sides of my head. Last resort was to use my old nikebauer medium cage and it worked like a charm and looks just like the original cage. The only minor problem after that is if you have longish hair the dial pulls it when you put it on but it does not hurt when you put it onReview by Ivjub (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Minor set back but worth it
This is an excellent helmet. It offers superior protection and all of the components work perfectly well. I play four times a week and the helmet has not worn at all. It also looks good on your head. However, it does cost a lot of money. If you aren't going to use it much after you buy it, I would suggest buying a less expensive model (i.e. Reebok 8K). In addition, the 11K cage that it comes with is pretty awful. I would definitely recommend getting a different cage separately, for instance the CCM FM480 cage. Overall excellent helmet.Review by 102 Slapshot (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I am a coach and player, but I bought this sysytem for my eldest son, after comparing it with other similar options. The primary reason that I was looking into this item was the fact that he has suffered a few concussions over the years, and we take this very seriously, so the first move is prevention of further concussions. No system is "concussion proof", but the easy operation, fine tune sizing system built into this helmet, is the best protection available (the traditional sliding via sidelocks option for "rough" fit is also included in this system). The most common issue with helmets and concussions can be traced right down to proper fit and thusly protection. A loose helmet is like having a bad edge...uselss. This helmet allows the fit to be quickly and easily adjusted (even by the wearer without doffing it on the bench), and as accurately as the variance of how long or thick his last haircut was!! Similar systems offer a fine tuning option as well, but as we tried them on and compared, his words were, "That K11 one was the most comfy." He's safe, he's happy, I feel like I am doing my best for my kid...my work here is done!Review by THE WALL OF 11 (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Parents, coaches and skaters...PLEASE recognize and address even the most minor of potential concussion issues immediately, so you or your skater don't end up in a wheelchair, instead of on the ice. PLEASE educate yourselves, and your players and parents on this issue.
Skate hard, then skate harder...and have fun!!!
By far the best purchase I've made on equipment in 20 years. It's light weight but sturdy and the dial adjustment in the back lets you get that perfect fit in seconds. Four other player's on my team use this helmet and we all have different shaped heads and all four of us wouldn't trade this helmet for gold. It's safe and comfortable and you only get one brain. Protect it!!!Review by Screen Player (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Itried it on at first and it felt good but after my first couple of pratices it started to loosen. the adjustment dial works but it becomes loose again after a practice or game. the padding fell off and i dot like the look. I liked the look of other reebok helmets but not this one. i now use the bauer 9900 and its quite an improvemetReview by me (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Best helmet I've ever wore. It doesn't feel like I have anything on my head, but I do not wear a cage... The helmet does not move when I move my head quickly, very snug fit!Review by Louie P (Posted on 7/24/2016)
After one month of constant using (more than 3-4 games a week) I had an exema in red colour on my brow and above of temples. In these places on this helmet is hel pad, how you can concince on photos. And it is only in front part of my head, because I can`t see in the mirror what I have in the back of my head! Before this I used other helmet (now it is already old model) where in these places was the pad with similar material, but in 7-8 years of using on my head wasn`t anything like an exema! So I think that the reason of this is in the material of the pad in the front of helmet.Review by Sir-J (Posted on 7/24/2016)
P.S. MicroDial-II is really good system.
The helmet is nice but huge, I mean it's just big in dimensions. It has great protection, but really lacks looks. And its pretty tough, though it does like to change its size by itself quite easily.Review by Bauer Boy (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Over all it's a great helmet that can take big hits, but remains lightweight. The only reason I gave it four out of five stars is because it looks ugly.
this is garbage it hurts my head the plastic is too soft glue gets in my hair padding gets hard its too expensive.Review by reeboks suk (Posted on 7/24/2016)
The helmet is a good helmet. But the adjuster wheel is a piece of junk.. If you can't fix it at the rink with a screw driver don't buy it.Review by Amac (Posted on 7/24/2016)
This helmet was an expensive disappointment. I wore the helmet about 6 times and it would not maintain the fit. After a couple of periods it would loosen. This was the fault of the mircodial II adjusted. But the worst was yet to come. When I tried to tighten the fit the microdial II system broke and wheel turned freely and wouldn't tighten. The problem is poor (probably cheap design which is inexcusable on a $169 helmet). The wheel gear that tightens and loosens the strap should have been one molded piece. Instead this assembly is two pieces a wheel with pins that slot into a second piece a plate with gear. The pins are weak and snapped off. I contacted Reebok customer service with a video and they never responded. I have a Smith ski helmet with the same type of mechanism and I have skied two years with the Smith helmet and it still works perfectly. I have used Bauer mainly and an Easton helmet without any problems. Avoid this product unless you don't value your money and want to throw away $169. Bauer is easily more comfortable and designed in a way that breakage is not an issue. I have use a Bauer helmet for over a decade and it never broke. Reebok only warranties the microdial for 90 days What does that tell you.Review by Jim Sannes (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I've been using this helmet for over a year now and I play 2-3 games a week. The MicroDial was a great idea and it allowed the helmet to fit around my head quite snug.Review by PlayerInJapan (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Here is the problem, after a little while of using it on the ice, the MicroDial system would come loose. I kept tightening it. Eventually the MicroDial broke and now it just keeps loosening. It is no longer a nice fit around my head and now I can't tighten it again.
This is the third Reebok helmut that has failed. Inexcusable at top end price. We will be switching back to Bauer or Easton.Review by Jake for Bruins (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I've had this thing for months and haven't had a single hit to the head give me that squeezing, aching feeling. It's super light, and fits really well, especially considering my head is not exactly shaped perfectly. I never expected to find a helmet that would fit this well. Fitting is easy and quick, and takes no extra equipment (just adjust the wheel and snap the sides). I don't understand these other reviews having trouble fitting it, because it's about as simple as could be possible. Breathes well, too, so it's been nice having my head sweat less. Can't say enough good things about this helmet.Review by Bobby (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I wear this helmet when i referee 5-10 games a week. It's nice and light. Has great ventilation and the adjuster dial at the back is great because i can adjust the comfort as my head expands while I'm on the fly. I've had mine about 7 months now and agree that it's been well worth extra the money.Review by Chris the Ref (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Been using this helmet for a year and I couldnt be more satisfied. Very comfortable and the fit adjustment is spot on. Switched out the cage for a bubble.Review by Hockeydad2366 (Posted on 7/24/2016)
