CCM Hockey Announces Recall of Hybrid Visor and Replacement Visor Accessory
CCM is recalling the CCM Hybrid Visor (Style FMHVR) and Replacement Visor Accessory (Style ACCHVR). The products were sold online and via retailers from May 2024 to April 2026. Affected FMHVR products are marked with "HVR" on the outside of the metal plate securing the polycarbonate visor to the cage on the right side (looking through the visor). If it says HVR at the top of the metal plate (above where it says CCM in red), then the product is affected by the recall.
Hazard: Micro-fissures may form around the screw holes of the polycarbonate portion of the visor, behind the assembly plates. This could lead to the polycarbonate portion of the visor cracking if the area around the screw holes were to be subjected to a high impact, posing a potential risk to the user.
Recalled Product: CCM Hybrid Visor (Style FMHVR) and Replacement Visor Accessory (Style ACCHVR) sold from May 2024 to April 2026.
Recalled SKUs: CCM HVR Hybrid Senior Face Cage/Visor (Medium/Large - MS2379478), CCM HVR Hybrid Senior Face Cage/Visor (Small/Medium - MS2379477),
Remedy: Customers who purchased their CCM Hybrid Visor through HockeyMonkey.com are eligible to receive a digital gift card equal to the original purchase price. To participate in the recall, please follow the steps below:
- 1) Discontinue Use Immediately - Stop using the product right away to ensure your safety.
- 2) Contact Customer Support - Reach out to the HockeyMonkey.com Customer Support team to request a free prepaid return shipping label for your recalled product. Please provide your order number and inform the support team of your intention to participate in the recall.
- 3) Return the Product - Use the return shipping label provided by Customer Support to send the recalled product back to HockeyMonkey.com.
- 4) Processing Period - Once your return is received, please allow several days for our returns team to review and process your claim.
- 5) Receive Your Gift Card - After your return has been processed, you will be issued a digital gift card in the amount equal to the original purchase price of the visor. This gift card may be redeemed on HockeyMonkey.com, GoalieMonkey.com, LacrosseMonkey.com, BaseballMonkey.com, or at any US MonkeySports Super Store.
NOTE: You also have the option to submit your claim directly to CCM. If you do, you will be eligible to receive a replacement visor (FV1) or face cage (FM780 or FM580) only. Please note that CCM does not offer refunds or reimburse any price differences for purchases made through HockeyMonkey.com or at any MonkeySports Super Store.
