Following the success of the Jetspeed FTW protective and stick lines, CCM has advanced its understanding of the anatomical shape variances and fit preferences of female players. Featuring a research-backed modified shape to better fit the contours of a woman’s fot, the CCM Jetspeed FTW Women’s Senior Ice Hockey Skates offer the incredible comfort and performance that women demand – and deserve. The Jetspeed FTW skates are finally available, and your feet will thank you!
Boot
Quarter Package: A 2D Metaframe FTW quarter package is specifically crafted for women’s feet, giving a sleek and tapered silhouette. Optimal flex points and support provide maximum performance based on female player power transfer and agility requirements.
Stiffness: With a stiffness rating of 190, the FTW allows for greater agility and flexion.
Interior
Liner: The FTW features a Totaldri Pro moisture wicking liner to keep feet dry and the skate lightweight. The liner is treated with Polygiene antimicrobial materials to fight odor and bacteria. Responsive foam backings throughout the skate hug the feet for supreme comfort.
Comfort & Ankle Padding: A multi-layered foam configuration with denser ADPT Memory foam offers next level comfort and an elite fit. All-new optimized positioning and boot shaping create what CCM has dubbed the Heel Lockdown zone, which offers a secure anchor for the foot from stride to stride.
Tongue: AN ADP Comfort Tongue features a molded core, ADPT memory foam and an all-new ribbed central channel designed to wrap the foot for ultimate feel and comfort. A FlexMotion lace-bite design maximizes forward flexion for maximum power.
Footbed: An FTW exclusive footbed is specifically designed for female foot positioning and features higher arch support and an optimized location. ADPT memory foam offers maximum comfort.
Holder/Runner
Holder: CCM’s Speedblade XS holder features a metal pin bladelock system, allowing for faster blade changes.
Runner: The FTW will feature Step Steel (+4mm), Step Steel’s highest quality steel, with a precise profile and thickness for better edge control and more longevity.
Fitting: To ensure your skates fit properly, push your toes forward against the toe cap, and check the gap between your ankle and the skate's boot with your fingertip. Ideally, your skates should hug each side of the foot without creating painful pressure points or leaving too much space between the foot and the liner.
Youth & Junior Skates: If needed, skates a half-size up can offer growing players some additional room-to-grow, but further up-sizing is not recommended. Fitting skates with too much room in the boot will not support the players ankles and feet as designed, leading to painful blistering and greatly increasing the risk of ankle injury.
The information in this fit chart was provided by CCM, intended as a general fitting guideline. This guide cannot guarantee a perfect fit, as equipment manufacturing and individual preferences can vary. Please note, half-sizes are shown for reference but may not be offered on every skate.
