Introducing the all-new CCM Tacks XF Pro Senior Ice Hockey Skates! Designed for the elite power skater, Tacks skates offer long, strong strides and maximum force generation in a stiff package. Improvements in design allow for a more comfortable fit than previously seen; you might never want to take these skates off!
Boot
Quarter Package: A one-piece boot power with game ready fit offers amplified power and explosiveness from every stride through a more responsive construction that delivers better energy transfer, so less power is lost per stride. Extended facings offer a higher in-step volume, which means a more generous fit in the midfoot for elite power skaters.
Material: Fors Composite material is combined with premium, high-end carbon fiber materials woven together to improve the weight-to-stiffness ratio to offer better long term performance. A sleek chrome graphic offers a rich design that looks just like the pros.
Stiffness: The XF Pro features a stiffness rating of 215; a super lightweight, stiff and thermo-formable core combine to offer ultimate performance.
Tendon: An all-new Flex Tendon 3.0 with Fors composite material allows for greater extension on strides, which translates to increased speed and power. The improved composite material offers increased protection and support.
Interior
Liner: The XF Pro features a Totaldri Pro moisture wicking liner to keep feet dry and the skate lightweight. The liner is treated with Polygiene antimicrobial materials to fight odor and bacteria. Responsive foam backings throughout the skate hug the feet for supreme comfort.
Comfort & Ankle Padding: A multi-layered foam configuration with denser ADPT Memory foam offers next level comfort and an elite fit. All-new optimized positioning and boot shaping create what CCM has dubbed the Heel Lockdown zone, which offers a secure anchor for the foot from stride to stride.
Tongue: The tongue of the XF Pro features a Tritech construction with D3O. A 7mm black felt pairs with a molded foam core to perfectly wrap the foot for superior on-ice fit and comfort. An injected D3O lacebite pad offers added protection with a redesigned construction for better forward flexion in the skate for added comfort.
Footbed: A molded CCM Ortholite Ultra with ADP Memory Foam footbed offers ultra-lightweight comfort, a molded fit with heel grip support and an added layer of memory foam.
Holder/Runner/Sole
Midsole: A lightweight composite midsole offers superior energy transfer from the boot to the blade, minimizing energy loss with each stride.
Holder: CCM’s Speedblade XS holder returns with an enhanced dial, 136% larger than previous generations with improved texturization, allowing for better grip and faster blade changes.
Runner: The XF Pro will feature Step Blacksteel (+4mm), Step Steel’s highest quality steel with a carbon coat for superior edge hardness, exceptional glide and increased skating speed.
Fitting: To ensure your skates fit properly, push your toes forward against the toe cap, and check the gap between your ankle and the skate's boot with your fingertip. Ideally, your skates should hug each side of the foot without creating painful pressure points or leaving too much space between the foot and the liner.
Youth & Junior Skates: If needed, skates a half-size up can offer growing players some additional room-to-grow, but further up-sizing is not recommended. Fitting skates with too much room in the boot will not support the players ankles and feet as designed, leading to painful blistering and greatly increasing the risk of ankle injury.
