Fitting: To ensure your skates fit properly, push your toes forward against the toe cap, and check the gap between your ankle and the skate's boot with your fingertip. Ideally, your skates should hug each side of the foot without creating painful pressure points or leaving too much space between the foot and the liner. Youth & Junior Skates: If needed, skates a half-size up can offer growing players some additional room-to-grow, but further up-sizing is not recommended. Fitting skates with too much room in the boot will not support the players ankles and feet as designed, leading to painful blistering and greatly increasing the risk of ankle injury.
