CCM Super Tacks AS1 vs. CCM Super Tacks AS2 Pro

The last time we saw a Super Tacks stick from CCM was their release of the Super Tacks AS1 back in July of last year. Fast-Forward to September 2019 and we now have the CCM Super Tacks AS2 Pro Hockey Stick!

Super Tacks sticks have always been tried-and-true mid-kick, maximum-power sticks, and the new Super Tacks AS2 Pro Stick is the epitome of just that. Throughout the course of a little more than a year, CCM analyzed data found in their Shooting Performance Lab. Thanks to these studies, CCM was able to optimize the flex-zone of this current iteration Super Tacks stick. This updated flex profile features smoother transitions between the stiff and soft flex zones, compared to the Super Tacks AS1, making the AS2 Pro more powerful, accurate, and dynamic!

The taper at the bottom third of the of the AS2 Pro Stick has been reoptimized and strengthened as well, compared to the AS1. This new design helps enhance stability and control due to less torqueing of the stick while leaning into heavy wrist shots and slap shots. This redesigned taper is also one of the features that has helped decrease the overall weight of the AS2 Pro Stick by 10 grams, when compared to its predecessor!
