The next generation of the legendary Tacks name is here and better than ever, and with it comes a beefed up line of CCM’s most durable sticks to date. With RBZ offering a custom kick and Ribcor offering a quick release low kick, CCM caters to the snipers with a mid-kick point in the Ultra Tacks. The Ultra Tacks was designed to provide unmatched accuracy and precision in a high performance lightweight and durable stick.
CCM found success with Attackframe technology, which was featured in the original Tacks stick, only to one up it with a much lighter version of the same tech now dubbed Ultra Attackframe. Engineers designed their blade to have a structure with a strong outer frame and two stiffer bridges that run heel to toe. The stiff reinforcements that run across the blade help to increase bending stiffness and torsional rigidity which prevents any twisting of the blade and keeps you square to your target while delivering consistent and accurate shots. By reducing the weight of the blade you get a better overall balanced feel which in turn promotes a higher performing stick and more accurate shots. Another benefit of having this stiffer blade is the durability factor as well as reliability. With the Ultra Attackframe technology, pro testimonials state that their Tacks stick is lasting longer while providing that same feel they had the first day they received their stick, giving them the consistency needed to perform.
Featuring Bumper technology in the shaft, the Ultra Tacks stick has become one of CCM’s strongest and longest lasting sticks to take durability to the next level. The majority of hockey sticks break when you receive a slash which then damages a corner of the shaft. Now apply more force onto that damaged area while you shoot or stick check and SNAP! What happened is when force was applied, the layers of carbon fiber started to separate and weaken the stick to the point of breakage. Bumper technology is the addition of more material to the inside of the shaft corners which prevents the separation and breakdown of the carbon fiber layers in the stick. The result is better carbon fiber compaction for remarkable durability and consistency in the shaft.
This shaft uses a traditional geometry with square-corners and strategically placed tactile texture is utilized with a grip finish. There is a very slight gradual taper because of the mid kick flex profile to a nice transition where the blade and the shaft meet. On the inside of the matte finished blade, is the Ultra Attackframe tech mentioned above with a lightweight quality foam core between the frame and bridges. CCM is also offering a pro flex in the Ultra Tacks line. The 105 and 95 flex options are available with an additional 3 inch extension in stick length for the bigger and stronger players looking for a stiffer and taller stick.
CCM strived for an incredibly durable stick that would provide legendary accuracy and performance. If you are an elite level player that values precision, accuracy, and consistency (all qualities of a sniper), then check out CCM’s Ultra Tacks hockey stick made to light the lamp.

I have been using CCM sticks for years now I have had the Ribcor 40K, Rbz stage 2 and the superfast. All were fantastic sticks, really nice kickpoints and superb feel. This stick beats them all by a mile. The puck feel is fantastic and the stiffness of the blade is amazing. My accuracy has really improved from it. Also, the kick point was awesome when loaded up it fired the puck and slap shots were great. Sadly, this stick only lasted 3 months which is really disappointing considering how good it was.Review by Mike (Posted on 2/1/2017)
I bought this stick around Christmas of 2015, and it broke at the blade in Jan of 2017. Truly a great stickReview by tyler (Posted on 1/26/2017)
Look I'm not saying this happens to every Ultra Tacks but mine snapped in half with in 15 days of having it I was taking a one timer I probably hit more ice than puck and that was part of the cause I bet but aside from it breaking it held up nice the blade is nice and strong and slap shots and wrist shots are amazing and the accuracy is wicked nice snapshots aren't great but it is a mid kick the stick is great but it might break quickly just hope its before the warrantyReview by Dominic (Posted on 11/27/2016)

Right now its my main stick, love it and way more durable than the RBZ. RBZ is great with the Kickpoint, but the Tacks is way more versatile.Review by Jon (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Best stick for SnapshotsReview by Jim Layhe (Posted on 7/24/2016)
I'm a bit of a stick junkie and have owned nearly all the high-end twigs over the years. These Tacks sticks have a puck feel and shooting power equal to anything on the market, but the thing that amazes me is their durability. I bought 4 of them awhile back, hoping they'd get me through the season, and after being used and abused 3-4 times per week for over a year, 3 of them still play like new. This durability is unheard-of for sticks this light and sensitive. To provide perspective, I used to go through my favorite Easton model at a rate of maybe 6 games per stick, and later my favorite Warriors lasted maybe half a season.Review by Beer Lee (Posted on 7/24/2016)
Only issue I've had with the Tacks is that my slapshot tends to go high - probably resulting from the kickpoint, but more likely flaws in my technique.
By the way, the Ribcor has maybe a tiny bit more "pop" and similar durability, but an inferior puck feel in my view.
I've been trying high end sticks since the Bauer Vapor XXX to find one that I've really clicked with. And this finally is one that actually comes as advertised. I've tried the Bauer Vapor APX2, Supreme NXG, Easton V9 Stealth, Ribcor and Nexus 8000. All were lightweight of course, but none really did anything notable for my shot velocity. And as far as puck feel, they all seemed about the same to me.Review by Dono Treply (Posted on 7/24/2016)
This stick, despite being super lightweight, definitely feels sturdier built. And the first session that I've used it, I noticed the puck really jumps off the stick. Especially for snaps/wristers.
The blade is very stiff, but still allows for good puck control and isn't dead feeling.
